Audio book review: New Dan Brown's novel "Lost symbol" went on sale September 15 and on the first day became a bestseller.
Lost symbol has become of the third book on the adventures of Robert Langdon, a professor of symbolist. He will save his friend and mentor, Peter Solomon, kidnapped. The latter requires that Langdon found the entrance into a mystical portal - only then it frees Solomon. It is worth mention that the number of subplots in the novel is great, the action is extremely intense, and the number of riddles and surprises lying in wait for Langdon, exceeds all conceivable rules - which is why the novel is read in one sitting.
At the same time "Lost symbol" is largely similar to "The Da Vinci Code" and "Angels and Demons" - in the third part of the adventures of scientist-symbolist uses similar literary devices and plot turns. However, fans of Brown's works that might not seem a serious drawback - if the first two books, the author received from them "to cheer", it is logical to assume that the third novel face the same fate.
After the "Lost symbol" becomes increasingly loud criticism of Brown as a writer - the most powerful of his descriptions of places are a place of action, dialogue is looking less and less natural. However, for the famously twisted plot is difficult to discern these shortcomings. To write a "Lost symbol" Brown took six years: he worked for so many plot twists, so much material that the drafts, according to the author, enough for another ten novels.
The reaction of critics to the novel were not unique. Someone called "Lost symbol" inconceivable rubbish heap, someone speaks about the novel, as the next brilliant, disturbing, imaginative work.
